The Mishnah

The foundational text of Jewish oral law and tradition
The Mishnah is the earliest written collection of Jewish oral traditions, forming a central pillar of Rabbinic Judaism. Compiled around the 2nd century CE, it organises centuries of legal discussion into structured teachings covering daily life, ethics, agriculture, worship and civil law. Written in concise Hebrew, it serves as the basis for later rabbinic analysis in the Talmud and continues to be studied as a core text of Jewish learning and legal interpretation.
